Visit the Wucheng Wang Temple
Go to the Wucheng Wang Temple (武成王庙) and talk to the mysterious artist.
The main deity worshipped in the temple is Jiang Ziya, and there’s a historical record of the execution of the war god Bai Qi. Bai Qi was removed from his position after Zhao Kuangyin ordered his downfall for executing captured soldiers.
Use a rocket to light up three lamps on the ceiling, revealing the portrait of Bai Qi.
Stand on the pedestal and use the “Kill God” (杀神) pose to enter the underground armory.
Inside the registration area, you’ll see many chests, but they are currently inaccessible. There’s also a ladder leading up to a higher level, where you’ll find two locked doors — you’ll need to find the keys for these later.
However, first, please go ahead and ring the bell to illuminate the circular rings. Use Acupoint Strike (点穴) to destroy the ring, and the door will open, leading to the Secret Orders Room.
In the room, you’ll find a secret order near the chest, revealing that Zhao Kuangyin had assigned Shi Shouxin (石守信)to manage the armory. Shi Shouxin is a famous general of the Northern Song Dynasty and one of Zhao Kuangyin’s “义社十兄弟” (brothers from the 义社, a historical brotherhood). You will meet him later.
To open the armory, you need to find Li Jun’s two weapons: Black Cloud Long Sword (黑云长剑) and Silver Spear of Gallant Command (效节银枪). Place them at the “Zhaoyi Protector (昭义节度使 李筠之位)” armor stand. This will trigger the unlocking process.
After Zhao Kuangyin’s coup at Chenqiao, Li Jun rebelled but was defeated and subsequently committed suicide by self-immolation. His son, Li Shoujie (李守节), whom you’ve met before in Changping Granary, will appear later.
You can explore and find the weapons.
There are two paths to explore on both sides — take these to find both weapons. Be cautious of the spike traps along the way, as they follow a specific pattern. Observe and avoid rushing through.
After retrieving both weapons, head back to the armor stand to unlock the armory.
Jump quickly when the spikes are following you; they will chase you down.
Meeting Shi Shouxin
Once you meet Shi Shouxin and his son Shi Zhen (石贞), open the chest to obtain the mysterious military book. Then don’t rush to leave — look for a nearby ladder to climb up and find a chest containing the secret passage key, the registration key, and a dusty ledger.
Secret Passage and Underwater Armory
Follow the secret passage downward — it will lead you to the Mirror Pond Pavilion (镜潭亭). Deliver the mysterious military book to the enigmatic artist. His dialogue suggests that he might be the person Zhao Kuangyin sent.
Ghostly Activities and Secret Weapon Transport
In the east of Kaifeng, near the Wang Huai South Cliff stronghold wall, there’s a suspicious person named Feng Sandao (封三刀). He spots ghostly soldiers transporting weapons into the area.
After clearing all enemies in the stronghold and defeating the boss, you can head to the location marked in the image. There’s a secret door inside the house. The footprints near the door suggest that weapons were being moved in, but not out.
You can open the secret door to find a hidden passage. You’ll discover Feng Sandao’s incense pouch at the door. Head to the stronghold wall and complete Feng Sandao’s task, then return to continue exploring the passage.
Follow Feng Sandao
Give the incense pouch to Feng Sandao and follow him to observe a meeting between him and a mysterious figure. Eavesdrop on their conversation.
Afterward, explore the passage until you reach the end. Push open the door to find that the passage connects to the Underground Armory. If you don’t want to go back up, head through the door on the side to the registration area, where you can now access the chest that was previously locked.
