Strategy — First finish “Twelve Years’ Grudges”, then go to Changping Granary.

It’s advised to complete the quest “Twelve Years’ Grudges (十二载恩仇)” first, and then proceed to Changping Granary (常平仓) — because the storylines are interlinked.

• Talk with the guards at the entrance of Changping Granary.
• Then find Changping Envoy 沈义伦 (Shen Yilun). Gain his permission to enter Changping Granary. Inside, you’ll face the general 李守节 (Li Shoujie) — a historical figure. According to lore, Li Shoujie is the son of 李筠; after Zhao Kuangyin’s coup (the Chenqiao Coup), Li Jun rebelled, was defeated, and died by self-immolation — but Li Shoujie was not implicated; instead, he was later employed by Zhao Kuangyin.
• Defeat Li Shoujie to obtain the defense blueprint (布防图), then climb the ladder up to the upper floors.
• From the top floor, take the elevator down into the underground section.

Underground — “Flower‑lock Puzzle + Rescue Shen Yilun”

• In the underground level, there are vines linked to the “flowers of ephemeral life and death (朝生暮落花)”. Use rockets to destroy all the poisonous flowers and vines quickly — time is limited, because destroyed flowers will regrow if you don’t move fast enough.
• Continue forward along corridors of floral traps and puzzles. Eventually, you reach a waterwheel room. Near the waterwheel, collect any letters or documents you find. To clear the waterwheel mechanism, you must shoot three flowers: two are easy to spot; the third is hidden beneath — you must first rotate a wheel, then shoot through a narrow gap under a wooden plank.
• Once the waterwheel is cleared, proceed forward — you will meet the real Shen Yilun (previously, what you saw was an impostor, Zheng E). Shoot seven nearby flowers to clear a path and successfully rescue Shen Yilun.

Boss fight and aftermath.

• The final fight is with Zheng E (郑鄂) — note: soloing him can be tough. If possible, use coop multiplayer so teammates can draw enemy fire and support each other. When playing with others, make good use of the Mingchuan Medical Codex (明川药典) for its revival/ healing capabilities.
• After defeating Zheng E, wait two real-world days (not in-game time), then return — he will give you a noted document detailing his research on the “Flowers of Ephemeral Life & Death”. He’ll instruct you to go to Lingxing Village (聆杏村), find a house beneath a white apricot tree, and deliver the note to its owner.

Hidden Lore — Misty Forest & Craft of Immortality

• There is a mysterious Misty Forest (隐雾林) east of Kaifeng. If you enter and get caught in the mist (become poisoned), you’ll trigger a special side‑event “Lives’ Flow, Flowers’ Fade (朝生暮落)”. There you will meet a scholar named Zhai Xu (翟煦). From him, you learn that the “Flowers of Ephemeral Life & Death” were created by a sorcerer 孙不弃, who also appears in earlier quests tied to the back‑story of 唐哀帝李祚 and 柳青衣.
• Use Acupoint Strike (点穴) to ring the wind‑chimes outside the window to distract Zhai Xu, then obtain a document called “Qianyuan Supplement Record” (千愿补辑) and one of the Misty‑Forest Fragment Prescriptions. According to the records, the remaining two fragments are located at the "Wuxin Residence" and the "Xiujin Workshop". Once you acquire them, return to the Misty Forest to solve the final puzzle — this will disperse the deadly mist permanently.

Final Step — Lingxing Village & Reunion

• After finishing with Zheng E’s note, head to Lingxing Village (east of Kaifeng). In the house beneath the white apricot tree, place the note. You’ll discover this house belongs to Zhai Xu, the scholar connected to the mist forest.
