Tesla CEO Elon Musk has shared on social media a short video posted initially by the Tesla Optimus team.

The video features the humanoid robot running inside a laboratory. Its movements appear smooth and natural, but the clip is only four seconds long, leaving viewers wanting more. The team added a caption: “Just set a new personal record in the lab.”

Earlier reports noted that in early November, Tesla announced that the pilot production line for its humanoid robot had begun operations at the Fremont Factory. A larger-scale third-generation humanoid robot production line is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2026.

The company is currently testing various use cases in factories and Tesla office locations. Once mass production begins, the cost of each robot is expected to be controlled at under $20,000.
