A well-known Assassin’s Creed community insider, TheRealZephryss, recently discovered through the LinkedIn profile of a Ubisoft Bordeaux developer that the studio is currently working on an unannounced project.

This project is speculated to be Codename Stardust, which has been rumoured to be a remake of Assassin’s Creed 1. The codename “Stardust” suggests something related to distant stars. At the same time, the protagonist of the first game, Altaïr, also has a name associated with the star Altair in the Aquila constellation—adding further credibility to the connection.

The original Assassin’s Creed 1 was released in 2007, and the rumoured remake is believed to be targeting a launch to coincide with the game’s 20th anniversary.
