Side Quest (Fragment) — Under the Eaves (悬檐之下) — English Version

Go to Baigong Workshop (百工坊) in southwestern Kaifeng and talk to Shi Jihuai (石季怀).

1) Help Li Shun build the house (pillar placement)

Find Li Shun (黎顺) and assist him in building the house. According to the blueprint, the pillars should be placed in rows of three.

• Recycle any extra pillars.
• Place the correct pillars onto the small round pads on the ground.
  When you’ve done it right, it will be three pillars per row.

2) The book gets stolen → eavesdrop for clues

After the book is stolen, talk to Shi Jihuai again by the tree, then eavesdrop on nearby artisans for information.

3) Break into the “mad old man’s” house to retrieve the manuscript

The “mad old man’s” door is locked. To help Li Shun retrieve the book, enter through the rear window.
Inside, inspect the objects around the room and obtain a copy of the “Timber Classic” (《木经》抄本).

4) Build again: add stone walls + door/window

Return to Li Shun and continue the build:

• Place two stone walls on the sides.
• Place the door and window on the front.

Once the house is finished, talk to Shi Jihuai—the quest pauses here.

5) Important: wait until the real-world next day (not in-game time)

You must wait until the next real-life day (this is not related to the in-game clock) for the quest to continue.

When you launch the game the next day, the quest marker will reappear. Go to the marked location, set the in-game time to Chen Hour (辰时), meet Ding Pu (丁璞), and give him Mu’er’s dagger (慕儿的匕首).

After Ding Pu destroys the house, the quest still isn’t over.

6) Wait another real-world day → rebuild as a blacksmith shop

Wait until the next real-life day again (still unrelated to in-game time). Shi Jihuai will come to demolish the house.

Then help Li Shun build a blacksmith workshop:

• After placing the four-rafter roof-frame (四架椽屋) structure, you can use the Auto-Build / Auto-Completion function.
• Place any four pieces of furniture inside.
• Finally, build the forging workbench and the sales stall.
