According to a report by Eurogamer's foreign media tonight, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated that the company has fully integrated generative AI and believes that the revolution this technology brings to video games is comparable to the shift from 2D to 3D.

According to modezone.com, during today's earnings conference call, Guillemot dedicated a concise yet powerful one-minute segment specifically to generative AI, suggesting that this technology will play an increasingly important role in future Ubisoft titles.

He stated: "We have made significant progress in applying generative AI to high-value areas, bringing tangible benefits to players and teams... Its transformative impact on our industry is comparable to the shift from 2D to 3D. We are fully capable of leading the trend in this regard."

He also mentioned: "In enhancing player experience, we are continuously advancing cutting-edge generative AI applications, especially building upon the new-type NPCs released in 2024. We have advanced from the prototype stage to actual implementation, and look forward to sharing more achievements with everyone before the end of the year."

Guillemot further explained that Ubisoft is not merely conducting dedicated AI projects—AI technology has permeated all development teams and is being applied across Ubisoft's global studios and offices. "In the production pipeline, teams in all our studios and offices are actively embracing this new technology and continuously exploring its new applications in programming, art design, and overall game quality."
