The episodic narrative comedy game Dispatch — created by AdHoc Studio (composed of former Telltale Games developers) — is nearing its conclusion. After an impressive start, word is circulating that it may soon appear on new platforms.
Within just ten days of release, Dispatch crossed the milestone of 1 million copies sold worldwide, marking an eye‑catching debut for the studio’s first major title.
Originally, the game was available on PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 5
In a post on their Blue Sky account, AdHoc Studio humorously stated:
“2 days. 80 million copies sold. It would’ve been nice. We sold 1 million in 10 days. Still pretty good.”
Dispatch blends sharp comedic writing, player‑driven story choices, and a premise centered on retired armored hero Robert Robertson (aka Mecha Man), who’s forced to work as a “superhero dispatch centre” operative. Players direct a team of unpredictable reformed villains, make dialogue and tactical mission‑assignment decisions, and watch how those affect the city’s crime‑fighting outcomes.
With the game’s strong performance, AdHoc Studio has publicly responded to player inquiries about possible ports to additional consoles. On the official Discord server, they confirmed:
“Will the game come to other platforms? Our initial focus was on supporting Steam and PlayStation. We’re also considering other platforms.”
Given the recent high demand and the fact that fans frequently mention consoles like the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S, many believe those may be the target platforms for expansion.
The game is scheduled to complete its eight‑episode run on November 12, 2025.
