According to GameRant, senior gameplay designer Karel Kolmann, previously of Warhorse Studios, has now joined CD Projekt RED and is serving as a senior quest designer on The Witcher IV.

Kolmann, who spent eight years at Warhorse Studios working on Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, announced on his LinkedIn that he has left the studio and joined CD Projekt RED, where his profile explicitly mentions “The Witcher IV”.

During his time at Warhorse Studios, he was credited with designing 11 quests (including writing dialogue and cinematics) for Kingdom Come II, and he also led the development of the complex crime system and even helped design large‑scale battles and combat systems. Additionally, he personally scripted the game’s Hardcore Mode — signalling that he held a very central role in the studio.
