Recently, the asymmetric horror multiplayer game Carnival Hunt, developed by Crytivo and Beer Night Studio, launched its Steam store page — the game is currently slated for release in 2026.

About the game: Carnival Hunt is an asymmetric horror-strategy multiplayer game. One player takes on the role of a “Carnival Monster,” while the others play as wind-up “Bunnies,” engaging in a tense and suspenseful contest of stealth and survival.

Gameplay details: As Bunnies, players are mechanical wind-up dolls whose “wind-up energy” gradually depletes over time. To stay alive, they must rely on teammates to “wind them up.” However, winding produces a loud noise, which can easily attract the Monster.
All players fight from a first-person perspective; there are no camera exploits or unfair vision advantages.
A particularly chilling twist: the map is littered with dead bunnies (props), and players can “play dead” among them to hide. Meanwhile, the “Magician” Monster must try to discern whether a corpse is real or a Bunny pretending, but checking a corpse costs precious time.

Even if a Bunny’s “wind-up key” runs out, it doesn’t necessarily mean the end: teammates can share or find extra keys to revive you.

Localization note: Unusually for an indie asymmetric horror title, the developers have prepared full Chinese voice support — an aspect that many Chinese-speaking players find rare and appealing.
