Chapter 1 – Yinyue Mountain (隐月山) · Danya (丹崖)
Go to Danya (丹崖) on the eastern side of Yinyue Mountain and find Doctor Tian Bushou (天不收大夫).
Drain the lake
Jump into the lake, and you’ll find a well opening at the bottom. Activate the three mechanisms around it to open the well and drain the lake.
Statue button puzzle (North → East → South → West)
After talking to Tian Bushou, step on the large button next to him to start the puzzle. Then step on the four small buttons around the statue in the order:
North → East → South → West (北 → 东 → 南 → 西)
The four directional characters are written directly on the small buttons. If you make a mistake, step on the large button again to reset and retry.
Inside the cave: traps + the blue flower
After entering, be careful not to touch the hanging cloth strips, or you’ll trigger rocket shots. You need to reach the other side of the broken bridge.
On the right side of the broken bridge, there’s a blue flower. Touching it will temporarily blind you, but your hearing becomes stronger, letting you follow sound-wave cues. Using those cues, you’ll discover a cave opening on the right.
Underwater tunnel: Collect three torn letters
Swim into the cave and dive. Along the way, open several chests to obtain three “Torn Letter Fragments” (破碎信纸). If you’re running out of oxygen, look for air pockets to breathe. Swim through the tunnel to reach the far side of the broken bridge and meet Tian Bushou again—he tells you the blue flower is called the Baiyue Flower (拜月花).
The “four bells” trick: use sound to find the real order
Go to higher ground and activate the mechanism that shows the bell-ringing order—but it’s actually a fake-out.
Instead:
- Touch the nearby Baiyue Flower first (to gain the enhanced hearing effect),
- Then activate the mechanism again,
- Use the sound waves to determine the actual bell order.
After that, follow the indicated sequence and shoot the buttons above each bell to open the door.
Moon Deity room: deliver the Cold Jade Box
Inside, you’ll meet the Moon Deity (月神). On the table, pick up the Cold Jade Box (寒玉匣) and a letter, then give the Cold Jade Box to Tian Bushou.
Lower level lore + the “true cherished” Baiyue Flower
Continue downward—there’s another path. Explore the lower area and examine objects to learn more about the Moon Deity’s backstory. The only still-glowing, not-withering Baiyue Flower is what the Moon Deity truly cherishes.
A letter found in a chest mentions a gift beneath the statue—remember to check it later.
Reassemble the letter (using the three fragments)
On the small island below, there’s a letter tray. Place the three torn letter fragments you collected earlier on top of it to piece together a complete letter.
Finish: offer the flower and obtain the Mystic Art
Give the Baiyue Flower to the Moon Deity, then leave through the narrow gap on the lower level to obtain the Mystic Art (奇术): “Veil the Mortal World” (红尘障目).
Bonus stone-casket puzzle at the statue
Return to the Moon Deity statue at the lake bottom (where the earlier button puzzle was) and press the buttons to open the stone casket for rewards.
Puzzle sequence:
- South → West → North → East (南西北东)
- Northeast → Northwest → Southwest → Southeast (东北西南) (as listed in the guide sequence)
- Northwest → Southeast → East → South (西北东南)
For the first two rounds, you can follow the order in which the buttons light up. The third round requires you to listen to the music and judge the sequence yourself, which is noticeably harder.
