Tech media Android Authority reported today (December 10) that Nothing has launched the Phone 3a Community Edition, a special limited-edition version of its Phone 3a made in collaboration with the fan community. Only 1,000 units will be produced globally, making it the company’s second community co-created device.

The most notable difference in this new model is its distinctive design. The Phone 3a Community Edition features a teal-colored transparent back panel with pink and yellow highlights, giving it a standout look compared to the regular Phone 3a.

According to Nothing’s official blog, the design draws inspiration from the 1990s and early 2000s, aiming to evoke a unique “retro-futuristic” vibe. To create visual unity between the hardware and software, the fan team also designed a unique animated lock-screen clock that transforms when the phone is awakened, along with brand-new custom wallpapers.

Nothing is also offering a special extra gift for buyers of the Phone 3a Community Edition: a set of community-designed dice. The set includes six dice styled with Nothing’s signature Ndot 55 font. The packaging is equally creative — the dice are housed in a yellow compartment box with a teal sleeve, echoing the phone’s design language.

Despite the fresh appearance and software enhancements, the hardware specifications of the Community Edition remain unchanged from those of the standard Phone 3a. There are no upgrades to the internal components.
