Naughty Dog’s next project finally has some physical proof of existence, starting with a piece of clothing.

Recently, Naughty Dog Senior Environment Artist Gabriel Cervantes shared a photo of a piece of merchandise on Instagram, explicitly confirming it as the first official swag for the new title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. This long-sleeve shirt won’t be sold to the public; it was created as a Christmas gift exclusively for internal studio staff.

Design-wise, the shirt is straightforward and distinctly "Naughty Dog." The back features the bald female protagonist, Jordan, standing with a gun in hand—a sharp, high-impact image. The game’s title is printed directly below the character without any extra flourishes. It feels like a symbol of internal morale, as well as a low-key "hello" to the outside world.

Using merchandise to flag a project’s existence this early is a rare move. For a new IP that has kept its details under lock and key, a staff-exclusive shirt has ironically become the clearest piece of official material we’ve seen to date.

As for the release window, the rumour mill remains cautious. Previous leaks suggested that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet would not launch in 2026, with more recent reports pointing toward a likely mid-2027 release. Meanwhile, insiders have indicated that Naughty Dog is currently in a "sprint" phase, with the studio reportedly undergoing mandatory crunch to finalise a playable demo for the showcase.

On one side, a quiet merchandise reveal; on the other, rumours of a high-intensity development cycle. Together, these elements add a layer of complex anticipation to the new title.
