“Search‑Fight‑Exfiltrate” a new game, PUBG: Black Budget, to start first closed test in December
. According to the introduction, the game’s closed test will run from December 2–15 and December 19–22, covering North America, Europe, and Asia on PC platforms. The purpose is to test the game’s core gameplay elements and refine the development direction through player feedback.
Players can currently look for “PUBG: Black Budget” on Steam (note: not searchable in Chinese), and click on “Request Access” on the game’s store page to sign up for the test. If approved, players will receive a notification in the Steam client and/or via the email address registered with their account.
For this test, there is no NDA (non-disclosure agreement) required; streamers and creators are free to broadcast, record, and review the game. The official side will also provide special benefits for creators, with extra closed‑test codes available for community distribution.
According to the official description, PUBG: Black Budget is a first‑person perspective tactical “exfiltration shooter” in which the player takes on the role of a contract expert employed to go to a remote island for a secret “black‑budget” operation. The island is trapped in an endless time loop and is gradually being consumed by a mysterious phenomenon known as “Anomaly”.
On the island, every time the time‑loop resets, the player gets pulled into the mysterious “SAPIENS Project” — players must recover artefacts, study findings, and ultimately uncover the experiment behind the island. They may also build and expand their personal base, craft new equipment, and upgrade their character’s skills and proficiency.
Note: The “search‑fight‑exfiltrate” gameplay mode refers to a shooter mode where the loop is: search for equipment/loot → fight opponents → exfiltrate the zone with your rewards. Escape originally popularised this mode from Tarkov and is now used in well‑known titles like The Day Before, Delta Force Black Hawk Down: Team Sabre (example), or other extraction shooters.
