Smilegate RPG’s highly anticipated MMORPG Lost Ark Mobile is currently undergoing a closed beta test, which will run until Sunday, the 16th of this month.

The closed beta is available exclusively to adventurers who have been selected through pre-registration and will take place over four days, from the 13th to the 16th. Players can participate via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store on mobile devices, as well as the STOVE platform on PC.

Deep Testing of Core Combat and Progression Systems

During this closed beta, Smilegate RPG aims to thoroughly test the core combat content and character progression systems of Lost Ark Mobile. A total of eight classes are playable. In addition to popular classes from the original game—Berserker, Bard, Wardancer, Deadeye, Summoner, Warlord, and Sharpshooter—the mobile version also introduces an original new class: Blade Dancer.
The Blade Dancer is a swift swordsman who uses illusion-based techniques to deliver agile, rapid sword attacks.

Diverse Combat Content — Classic and Original

A wide variety of combat content will be available. Players can experience original modes such as:

• Guardian Hunt Arena – a 4v4 competitive mode where teams race against time to see who can hunt down various Guardians faster.
• Chaos Rift – a rogue-lite solo dungeon where players choose and combine different skills and enhancement effects.

Additionally, players can challenge several core team-based activities familiar to fans of the original game, including:

• Abyss Dungeons
• Legion Commander Raids

AI-Enhanced Features for a Personalized Adventure

The mobile version introduces numerous AI-driven systems designed to provide a richer and more personalized gameplay experience. Key features include:

• AI Growth Guide – interact with Lost Ark Mobile’s mascot “Heriric” for gameplay tips through dynamic conversations.
• AI Death Guide – When a player dies during a dungeon attempt, the AI analyzes the situation and offers strategic advice.
• AI Mercenary System – AI-controlled mercenaries assist players in team-based content.
• AI Customization – allows players to redesign outfits and decorate personal housing using AI tools.
• AI Questing – NPCs enhanced by AI can respond differently based on player choices, adding more depth and variety to quests.

Regarding the PC Version: Steam’s Lost Ark

Leaving aside certain “politically correct” factors, the Steam version of Lost Ark can indeed be considered one of the most polished 2.5D online games available today.
Building on the already impressive systems of the Korean version, the Steam release adds generous onboarding rewards. It optimizes the economic and currency systems, enabling fair competition without forcing players to spend money—a rare achievement.

The only concern is whether these player-friendly benefits are part of Amazon Games’ long-term operational strategy, or merely limited-time incentives designed to attract new players.
