According to Reuters, Hon Hai (Foxconn) has announced that the $14 billion AI supercomputing centre it is building in partnership with NVIDIA will be completed in the first half of 2026, making it the most significant advanced GPU cluster in Taiwan upon its launch.

Neo Yao, CEO of Hon Hai’s newly established AI supercomputing and cloud operations division Visonbay.ai, stated that NVIDIA’s next-generation Blackwell GB300 chips will power the 27-megawatt data centre and will be the first GB300-based AI data centre in Asia.

Hon Hai has expanded beyond electronics into electric vehicles and AI data centres. The company is now one of NVIDIA’s primary manufacturers of AI server racks — custom-built systems explicitly designed for AI workloads that house chips, cabling, and other components.

In an interview with Reuters ahead of the event on November 21, Hon Hai Chairman Young Liu revealed that the company plans to invest $2–3 billion annually in artificial intelligence.

Liu also disclosed that Hon Hai currently has the capacity to produce 1,000 AI server racks per week, with production expected to increase further next year.

The report added that Spencer Huang — NVIDIA’s Product Line Manager for Robotics, Head of Robotics Products, and son of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang — attended Hon Hai Tech Day (HHTD) 2025. Spencer Huang stated that NVIDIA is collaborating with Hon Hai to deploy AI across factories and production lines.
