Q: Faker – You once said you won the 2023 World Championship for your teammates, and the 2024 Worlds for the fans. What does this year’s victory mean to you?
Faker: I didn’t play for anyone in particular — rather, I focused on the match as a professional player, giving my best effort, and eventually winning this title. For that, I feel truly grateful.

Q: Faker – Which skin would you like to choose for Worlds?
Faker: I haven’t really thought about it yet. I may, like last year, let the fans vote.

Q: Faker – What drives you to keep playing professionally? Also, have you already announced your extension with T1?
Faker: I feel it comes from love. I love playing the game, and I find meaning in competing alongside top‑tier players. The reason I decided to stay with T1 until 2029 is that I want to continue showing my growth and improvement.

Q: Faker – This is your sixth world title now. With age increasing, have you encountered any particular challenges in your career?
Faker: As I age, I’m increasingly aware of the importance of maintaining good physical condition and overall health. I don’t believe age will impair my performance in the game. I see athletes in other sports maintaining their passion and continuing to improve — I am striving to manage myself in the same way.

Q: Some former teammates have said that one of T1’s strengths is that they enjoy playing. Was there a particular moment in today’s match you especially enjoyed?
Faker: Even though each of us went through our own difficulties, we came together and ultimately won. After losing Game 3, I felt we could easily lose the whole series, so I told myself to enjoy the match. Everyone on our team has experience with big tournaments, so they were able to perform fearlessly.

Q: Faker – Seven years ago, you failed in Beijing, but this time in Chengdu, you achieved success. What does that mean to you? What would you say to your past self?
Faker: Standing on the final stage prompted me to recall 2017 in Beijing. But once the match began, I realised the situation this time was different. No matter the outcome, I felt I had grown — I was able to focus on the match itself fully. I no longer feel the pain of that loss. I believe that experience helped me grow.

Q: What do you think you did well against KT Rolster? Anything you’d like to say to Bdd?
Faker: Overall, it was an excellent series. I’m glad to face KT Rolster in the final. They must be fairly disappointed, but I hope they pick themselves up and achieve great results next year.

Q: Faker – We’re very curious about your future. What are your goals and plans?
Faker: I plan to continue my professional esports career. My goal is to give everything until 2029. I recently did a medical check‑up and found a few minor issues, which made me realise how important it is to take care of my health. I will continue working hard while putting my health first.
