Spotify announced yesterday (Nov 20) that it has launched a new feature, called TuneMyMusic, that allows users to transfer their playlists from other services into Spotify, further simplifying the migration process from other platforms.

The feature is now being rolled out to all Spotify users and can be found at the bottom of the “Your Library” page in the mobile app, under the entry “Import your music.” Once selected, users are guided to connect to TuneMyMusic, then pick the source platform and copy their old playlists into Spotify.

Spotify’s playlist‑import function supports multiple platforms, including Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and others.

The integration does not delete playlists on the original platform; it simply copies them into Spotify. Currently, TuneMyMusic supports transferring playlists from numerous services, including Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Pandora, SoundCloud, Tidal, and YouTube Music.

The rollout of this feature strengthens competition in the streaming‑music market. However, competing services such as Apple Music have long offered similar playlist‑transfer tools (and are built into iOS); YouTube Music Premium also supports importing playlists from other services (including from Spotify).

For users looking to switch platforms, Spotify’s direct in‑app migration tool may increase its attractiveness. Moreover, unlike the TuneMyMusic web version—which limits free users to transferring 500 songs (and requires payment for unlimited transfers)—this integration makes the service more conveniently accessible from within Spotify.
