❄️ Erangel: Subzero — “Zero‑Degree Plan” Environmental Overhaul

In version 39.1, Erangel has plunged into a brutal cryogenic survival condition following a failed satellite experiment. Multiple satellites fell, releasing cold gas that froze large parts of the island — now seasonal snow, frozen rivers, and ice‑covered terrain transform the familiar map.
Gameplay changes accompany the winter makeover: the blue zone (circle) now includes freezing effects, and dynamic snow and ice visuals are everywhere.
New environmental hazards — parts of terrain/bridges are changed or collapsed, rivers are frozen over, and some areas are heavily altered — forcing players to rethink routes and strategies.
To add tactical variety, a new “Blue‑Zone Grenade Launcher” has been introduced, enabling players to deploy ice‑effect blue zones—giving new opportunities to control space and pressure enemies.

PUBG officially teamed up with luxury fashion brand Balenciaga. As part of the collaboration, special Balenciaga‑themed zones have been added around Erangel — hidden rooms/spaces for players to discover.

Meanwhile, weapons like the AUG and the VSS got increased recoil — the VSS also has a louder shot sound for easier enemy detection.
These changes aim to bring more balance and variety to gunplay, reducing the dominance of a few overused weapons.

A new Survivor Pass (battle pass) for the “Zero‑Degree Plan” era is introduced. The premium pass now grants a +50% bonus on BP (some old BP bonuses have been removed), and previously given contraband ticket or key rewards have been replaced with BP.
Game modes have been adjusted: custom studios, spawn rates, AI behavior, matchmaking, and seasonal rankings have all been updated to reflect the new meta.
PUBG launches a Winter Festival from December 4, 2025, 10:00 (Beijing time) to January 6, 2026, 10:00. Logging in during the event lets players collect event items (“Snowflakes” and “Golden Bows”) to exchange in a special market for skins and crates — even a weekly Lucky G‑COIN crate on Fridays.
