September 16, modezone.com — Pocketpair has officially announced that Palworld will leave Early Access and launch its milestone Version 1.0 in 2026. To celebrate the transition, the developers are preparing a massive content update unlike anything the game has seen before.
Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe personally thanked Chinese players in Mandarin, highlighting the community’s support since launch. Since entering Early Access in January 2024, Palworld has already received five updates.
The development team confirmed that there will be no major updates before the official release. Even the upcoming winter update won’t match the scale of the earlier “Sakurajima” expansion. Instead, the bulk of the new features and content are being reserved for Version 1.0, with more details on progress to be shared in the near future.
Palworld has seen explosive growth since its Early Access debut on January 19, 2024. Within the first month, the game surpassed 25 million players and sold over 15 million copies on Steam, breaking records along the way. The title, priced at 108 RMB in the Steam China region, is currently on sale for 81 RMB — its lowest price to date.
Earlier this year, the game launched its Terraria crossover update (v0.60) in June. Palworld is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
