Today, Nintendo officially released the first full trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

As the second film in the series, this movie will continue the universe‑adventure setting of the game Super Mario Galaxy, telling the story of Mario and his friends embarking on a brand‑new journey into the vastness of outer space.

According to IT Home, the significant new characters confirmed for the film include Rosalina and Bowser Jr.. Bowser Jr. will serve as the core antagonist, while the original series villain, Bowser, remains imprisoned in Princess Peach’s castle and has not yet escaped.

In terms of cast, Brie Larson will voice Rosalina, and Benny Safdie will provide the motion capture performance and voice for Bowser Jr.
