Nintendo Announces Apology & Order Cancellation for Switch 2 Pre-orders
Nintendo today issued an official apology concerning a system error which resulted in some pre-orders of the Switch 2 version of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO (Nintendo Switch 2) is failing to register correctly. Due to a technical issue in Nintendo’s order system, certain special digital-edition pre-orders were not successfully recorded.
As a result, Nintendo states that for all customers who had placed pre-orders on or before November 6, 2025, for the following specific editions of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, those orders have been cancelled:
- Deluxe Edition (デラックスエディション) — Switch 2 version
- Ultimate Edition (アルティメットエディション) — Switch 2 version
- Sound Ultimate Edition (サウンドアルティメットエディション) — Switch 2 version
Nintendo asks customers who still wish to purchase these special editions to re-order the product via the Nintendo eShop or My Nintendo Store.
Importantly, the company clarified that the following items were not affected by the issue, and their pre-orders remain intact:
- The Standard Digital Edition of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO for Nintendo Switch 2 (digital only)
- Any version of DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO for the original Nintendo Switch platform (whether physical or digital versions)
. Thus, the pre-order system fault was limited exclusively to special digital editions of the Switch 2 version of the game.
Nintendo concluded the announcement with an apology to the affected customers and expressed its commitment to strengthen its systems further to avoid similar issues.
