To change the Traveler’s element, you need to go to a Statue of the Seven corresponding to the component you want.

Could you make sure the Traveler is the active character on the field (not just in your party)? Then interact with the statue — you’ll see an option like “Resonate with [Element]”. Selecting that will change the Traveler’s element.

After resonance, the Traveler’s skills and element change immediately to match that region (e.g., Geo in Liyue, Anemo in Mondstadt, etc.).

You can repeat this any time: switching elements does not consume materials, and you can swap as often as you like.
