There are two hidden treasure chests near the starting area. The first is behind a reef visible from the beach. The second is on a distant, mysterious island — you can reach it by using Cryo abilities to freeze the water and walk across. The chest is on the far side of the island.

Detailed Guide

Chest #1

Stand on the beach and look toward the ocean. You'll see a reef — the chest is hidden behind it. (See the marker on the left side of Image 1.)

Chest #2

Stand on the reef and look into the distance. You'll notice a hazy small island far offshore. Don't try swimming — you'll probably drown halfway there. Instead, use a Cryo character's abilities to freeze the water surface and walk across.

Once you reach the island, keep going forward. The chest is on the far side of the island. (See Images 3 and 4.)

Tips:

• Any Cryo character works for freezing the water (Kaeya is a free option available early)
• The island chest is easy to miss since it's on the opposite side from where you arrive.
